ARK Environmental is certified to an Environmental Management System applicable to Demolition & Dismantling and Asbestos & Toxic Waste Removal. This has been assessed and registered by ISO against the provisions of BS EN ISO 14001. This Environmental Management System is monitored closely and audited yearly by ISO.

It is Ark Environmental's policy to give environmental issues the highest priority. As a minimum standard the Company undertakes works strictly in accordance with the provision of all current legislation. This ensures, as far as reasonably practical, that adequate protection of the environment is provided against unnecessary exposure to potential hazards and risks.

Decontamination and ground remediation are environmentally and socially beneficial activities, removing superfluous and potentially unsafe structures, hazardous insulants and other materials.

The Company highly respects the relationship between demolition/asbestos removal operations and the environment and strives to attain and preserve a high standard of environmental care in accordance with, and with full regard to, the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

Continual improvement

Ark Environmental is committed to the continual quality improvement of its environmental performance. In its decision-making, Ark Environmental takes due cognisance of the environmental impact of its activities.

The Company promotes the safe implementation of various demolition and asbestos removal techniques and controls harmful emissions to the environment. They safely deal with demolition arisings, asbestos and contaminated materials and all other waste materials in accordance with their Waste Management Policy.

Ark Environmental continues to develop techniques of enhancing the environmental effect of current and future intended activities, in which they promote and manage conservation considerately and conscientiously.

Ark Environmental liaises with the statutory authorities, environmental bodies and properties in the vicinity of active sites.

Ark Environmental continually monitors their policies and updates them to reflect future developments as well as monitoring air quality, noise and vibration.
